About Us

Studio Le Roy is a professional multi-room studio in the south of Amsterdam, operating from a purpose-built facility centered on acoustic excellence, state of the art equipment and an efficient workflow.

We work with artists, producers, and creators who value exceptional sound quality, characterful equipment, and a focused creative environment. The studio is designed to support projects from initial recording through editing, mixing, and mastering, including immersive and multi-channel formats.

Founded by Mikel Le Roy, Studio Le Roy combines carefully designed recording spaces with deep engineering expertise. The studio is known for its high technical standards, attention to detail, and a working atmosphere that allows artists to fully focus on their work.

Our Origin Story

Founded in 1980 along the canals of downtown Amsterdam, Studio Le Roy relocated in 2025 to a brand-new, purpose-built facility. The studio has been reborn as a first-class, 650 m² production space, housing multiple recording and mixing rooms designed to meet the highest professional standards. Located near Amsterdam’s ring road, the studio offers excellent connectivity to the city, the world beyond, and all essential facilities.

At the heart of Studio Le Roy lies a 140 m² recording hall, directly connected to two control rooms. With an impressive 11-metre ceiling and three spacious isolation booths, the live room is suited to productions of any scale. Large windows and glass doors ensure continuous visual communication while maintaining acoustic isolation. Combined with a comprehensive collection of vintage and modern microphones, the studio is equipped to support a wide range of productions at the highest level of quality.

The control rooms are outfitted with state-of-the-art ATC 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos monitoring, large-format consoles, and an extensive selection of premium outboard gear. Whether for recording, mixing, or mastering, each room is meticulously designed to deliver uncompromising sound quality and to accommodate every type of session with confidence.
