Ralph Verdult

Recording Engineer

Ralph is a recording and mixing engineer who has mixed multi-platinum records. He started his career as a producer and sound engineer in the early 2000’s. His teen years were spent collecting records, making beats and taking apart old radio equipment. This sparked his interest for the technical aspects of recording and mixing music.

While studying Recording in Amsterdam SAE he started to work as a FOH and monitor engineer in various music venues, like Bitterzoet and De Melkweg. Before long he started touring the wold as a FOH engineer for various Dutch artists.

When not on the road Ralph was working in his own studio (2011-2023) It started as a small project studio and soon evolved into a serious recording and mixing studio filled with vintage analog gear.

Ralph met Mikel in 2013 during a broadcast recording of the band The Wooden Saints. In the following years they worked closely on countless projects together, especially during the time Studio Le Roy relocated from downtown Amsterdam to its new, current location. During the construction of the new studio Mikel and Ralph continued their colloboration and mixed loads of productions in Ralph’s studio.

Before construction was even done, Ralph moved into Studio 2 of Studio Le Roy in 2023. He quit touring and is now working at Studio Le Roy full time, feeling equally at home mixing in Studio 2 as recording in the main hall in Studio 1.
